Job Fair Announcement!! CWASD, along with the Chetek Area Chamber of Commerce, will host a job fair Tuesday, April 17 from 2-5 p.m. in the CWHS gym. The job fair will be open to the public from 3:30-5 p.m., and all adults seeking jobs are invited to attend. Students will have an opportunity to meet with local employers prior to that, from 2-3:30 p.m.
There is no cost to attend. Approximately 20 area employers will be available to speak with those in attendance. Any additional area businesses/employers who may still be interested in participating can contact Janis Volker at CWHS/MS for information 715-924-3137 x2002

Chetek Winter Fest Bikini Run, sponsored by AirTec Sports. continues this year PLUS we've added a new event- the Human Sled-Dog Race. Both events challenge participants to collect pledges then race the clock & the competition. Top fundraisers are crowed as Winter Fest Royalty with additional prizes for best times and best costumes. The Hometown Health Grant supports innovative efforts to improve mental health, prevent obesity and reduce chronic disease in local schools, workplaces and neighborhoods. This grant works in partnership with community-based organizations and residents to translate their vision for healthy communities into visible, concrete changes — and, ultimately, a healthier hometown.
The impact of May's tornado will not be erased, but some land owners may be eligible for relief funds through the Federal Farm Service Agency.
Application deadline is January 25th, but the FSA office in Barron advises coming in early so that records can be created for those landowners who have not participated in FSA programs in the past.

The Salvation Army assists Barron County residents with emergency lodging. gas/electric shut offs, medical transportation and more. During the Chetek tornado relief effort, they also assisted in providing meals to victims and volunteers.
