What could be better than a picnic in the park for an outdoor outing? Chetek’s local parks offer you the opportunity to get out and enjoy nature, a swim perhaps, outdoor music, or even a festival without venturing too far. So pack the picnic basket, and head to a local park near you.


Long Bridge (DNR) Park:

(County Road M & County Road D) Fishing dock, picnic tables 🎣


Lake Access:

(Morrison/Second Street) fishing dock 🎣


Main Street Park:

(624 2nd Street) Our quaint Little Main Street Park is the perfect place to watch the happenings in the City of Chetek. A shaded place to rest as you explore the shops in town. Fountain, benches, covered picnic area.


Ball Park:

(220 1st Street) Ball field, concession stand, bleachers, restrooms, parking


Chetek Lions Memorial Park:

(Water Street) Picnic tables, fishing along the river by the dam 🎣 


Beach:

(228 Lakeview Drive) Swimming, volleyball, play area, picnic tables, restrooms, band shelter


Phillips Park:

(270 Lakeview Drive ) Phillips Park, known to the locals as Airport Park, is on Lakeview Drive by the Chetek Airport. This park has restrooms, playground, picnic tables, grills and a covered pavilion that can be reserved for private parties. Phillips Park is a lovely quiet place picnic, read a book or just simply relax.


Gotham Pioneer Park:

(226 City Park Drive) Gotham Park across from the public beach on Chetek Lake. A beautiful peaceful area with restroom facilities, water, grills, picnic tables and a covered pavilion that can be reserved for private parties, all under huge gorgeous shade trees. Parking for Phillips Park and beach


Veterans Memorial Park:

(633 Lakeview Drive) located on the west shore of Prairie Lake, one mile south of Cameron on Highway SS and one mile east on 12-1/2 Ave. 160 Acres of land and water. This park has picnic tables, fireplaces, boat landing, playground, trails and sanitary dumping, electric hook ups & more.


Boat Landing:

(726 Lakeview Drive ) Boat launching, restrooms, picnic table, parking, Hydroflites ski site adjacent to boat landing. Permit required, available at city hall or on site ⚓
